Backstory is an AI-powered revenue intelligence platform that automatically captures customer interactions from emails and meetings, syncs them to your CRM, and transforms them into a complete, accurate backstory of every account and deal. Instead of piecing together updates from multiple sources or relying solely on intuition, Backstory gives you data-driven insights based on real customer engagement, helping you prioritize work, identify risks, and make better decisions.


Activity Capture

The data foundation that powers Backstory.

Backstory automatically captures sales activities and contacts from your external emails and meetings and syncs them to your CRM. By eliminating manual activity logging, Backstory maintains complete, accurate engagement data and uses it to generate a comprehensive view of deal health, customer activity, and sales progress. Activity capture is customizable and includes robust filters for sensitive data.


Account 360 and Opportunity 360

Data-driven summaries that give you the full backstory.

Account 360 and Opportunity 360 provide a complete backstory of everything happening within an account or opportunity all on one page. You can access 360 pages in Engagement Dashboards, the Backstory App, and as embedded components directly in your CRM account and opportunity records.


Engagement Dashboards

The primary workspace to access Backstory features and settings.

Available at edb.backstory.ai, Engagement Dashboards allow you to visualize and explore your sales data through customizable boards and tables. Administrators can also access Backstory settings and configuration tools from the Admin Panel.


Backstory App

A faster way to manage Salesforce data.

Available at app.backstory.ai, the Backstory App provides a spreadsheet-like interface for viewing and updating Salesforce records. It allows you to make bulk changes and maintain CRM data more efficiently than working directly in Salesforce.


Backstory Forecasting

Revenue forecasting for Salesforce customers.

Accessible through the Backstory App, Backstory Forecasting allows you to review, update, and analyze revenue projections at all levels of the organization.


ClosePlan

Structured deal execution for Salesforce.

ClosePlan extends Backstory’s capabilities by giving you a structured way to run deals from start to finish. Scorecards measure deal health, Playbooks guide sales execution, Relationship Maps visualize buying committees, and Account Plans support long-term strategy.


Backstory MCP

The connection that brings Backstory data into your AI chats.

Backstory MCP connects AI clients like Claude to your Backstory data, allowing you to ask questions in plain language and get answers right in your chat. It is the bridge that brings Backstory's account intelligence directly into your everyday AI conversations.


Admin Panel

The settings hub for Backstory administrators.

The Admin Panel is the central settings hub in Backstory where administrators configure and manage user accounts, data connections, and CRM synchronization.
