Forecast User Assignment allows you to assign users to specific levels in your forecasting hierarchy and define their permissions.

How to Access Forecast User Assignment
Open PeopleGlass and click the menu icon in the top left of the page.
Select Admin Panel from the dropdown.
Under FORECAST TYPES, select the forecast you want to change.
Click the User Assignments tab.
How to Use Forecast User Assignment
Adjust User Permissions
Select a hierarchy level to see all assigned users. For each user, you can adjust:
This Level: Select whether they can Submit forecasts or View only.
Descendants: Select whether they can Submit forecasts or View only.
Add and Remove Users
Click Add User to assign an active People.ai user to any hierarchy level. Users can be assigned to multiple levels as needed. Hover over a user and click the trash icon to remove them.
Update Users with CSV (Bulk Import)
Click Update with CSV to download the current assignments.
Make edits in the CSV to add, delete, or modify assignments. The CSV includes the following fields:
Node Ownership External Id: Salesforce ID of the Territory (if using Enterprise Territory Management) or User (if using Users)
Node Name: Territory/User name
User External Id: Salesforce ID of the User who should be assigned
User Name: Name of the User who should be assigned
Permission: “submit” or “view”
Descendants Permission: “submit” or “view”
Operation: “add” (add or update this assignment) or “delete” (deletes this assignment). If blank, then this row is skipped.
Upload the file to apply your changes.
Review any errors or ignored assignments.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Do updates in Salesforce automatically sync to People.ai?
No. You must manually update or import user assignment changes into People.ai.
Can we assign one user to multiple hierarchy levels?
Yes. A user can be assigned to multiple levels with different permission settings.
Can we manage assignments entirely via CSV?
Yes. You can both export and re-import user assignments using the CSV option for faster updates.
