CRM Scan

Maintaining good CRM data hygiene is a challenging and ongoing endeavor that can help optimize your organization’s automation processes and integrations (including Backstory). To simplify the process of managing data hygiene, we introduce CRM Scan and CRM Health Score.

CRM Scan enables your team to measure the hygiene of your CRM data and pinpoint areas for improvement. Within the module is CRM Health Score, a powerful snapshot of your organization’s current CRM health. It compares your CRM against key benchmarks to provide an easy-to-use measure of CRM health.

Navigate to the CRM Scan module from the top-most navigation bar via the Impact Icon. Please note that this may vary slightly depending on the version of Backstory your organization has enabled.

In the CRM Scan module, you can find your CRM Health Score in the top right-hand corner. Click on the score box to load your organization’s Overall Score Breakdown. Click on any of the 14 metrics in the breakdown to go to the corresponding metrics page.

Each CRM Scan metric provides insight into key benchmarks that reflect data hygiene and, therefore, impact your CRM Health Score. Hover over any metric to learn more about how it is calculated.

Click the three dots on applicable scorecards to view that metric’s Trend Chart or export the list as a .csv file. Use these valuable tools to review specific Salesforce IDs and improve your CRM data hygiene.

Common Data Integrity Issues

How can you improve your organization’s CRM health? Some common issues that can be fixed to boost data hygiene include:

  • Checking that your Accounts have the correct website domain

  • Limiting the missing information on your Contacts and Leads (e.g., phone numbers, emails)

  • Removing duplicate Contacts and Leads
